Boutique Wine tours are unique because of the flexibility. They don't follow a set route or pattern and can get off the beaten track to the unique small wineries hidden in the Hunter Valley. With a maximum of 14 on board they have access to the many small boutique wineries as well as the larger ones such as Lindemans, Tyrrell's, McWilliams etc. You will start the day with a guided tour of the wine making facilities of a small winery followed by an extensive tasting. Then you can visit a wide range of quality wineries....large or small....according to your individual tastes or preferences. Or rely on Boutique Wine Tours expert knowledge and experience to guide you ......they've been tasting at over 75 wineries! Apart from cheese and fudge tastings there are other options such as chocolate tastings or gallery visits (just ask the driver on the day).
Lunch at Oscars from a wide range of sandwiches or hot focaccia or lunch, in your own time at one of the excellent cafes or restaurants in the Valley. Or if you prefer, you can bring your own picnic lunch.
The Mercedes
The Mercedes has also been equipped to make your journey a pleasant and safe one: lap sash seat belts with"top of the range" reclining seats with head support for a safe and comfortable ride. A bar fridge to keep your wine or cheeses purchases cool. Split level air conditioning to keep you cool as well! DVD/video to describe the wine making scene in Australia and the Hunter Valley . And on the way back to Sydney, you have a number of video choices!
As an individual you travel in a small group of 14 or less, sharing the day with other (usually international) revelers. As you know, people, not just places, can make the day.
Of course, personal pick ups from your accommodation are also part of the service.
Departures / Pickups
We offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off within the Sydney CBD area from most Sydney city hotels, as well as Kings Cross, Potts Point, Darling Harbour, The Rocks and more. We can also pick-up anywhere along the Pacific Highway heading north from the city towards the F3 freeway, and requested points of departure by arrangement. We pick up between 7.20am and 8.00am, depending on the location of your hotel. Exact times will be notified upon booking confirmation. Please allow at least a 10 minute margin for traffic conditions. Drop-off is about 6.00 to 6.30pm.
Departs: 7 days a week between 7.20 (Kings Cross) to 7.55am (Circular Quay)
Returns: between 5.30 and 6.30pm
