By day you'll explore Fraser's famous sand tracks (and we'll manage tides and traffic) and by night you'll enjoy resort living - with the comforts of home.

Hervey Bay - Kingfisher Bay Resort
Make your way to Hervey Bay– either flight from Sydney/Brisbane, self drive or scheduled coach transfer from Brisbane. Kingfisher airport transfers will be provided for guests arriving at Fraser Coast Airport.

0750 Make your way to the village store and meet and greet by your Ranger
0800 Departure from resort.
Drive across Fraser Island in a, air-conditioned 4WD coach to the golden sands of75-Mile Beach
Swim in the fresh waters ofEli Creekon Fraser Island’s eastern beach.
See the rusting hulk of theMaheno Shipwreckand continue on to theColoured Sandsof thePinnacles.
Discover the former logging station atCentral Station. Walk long the boardwalk ofWanggoolba Creek.
VisitPile Valley, where Fraser famous Satinay trees grow in sand.
Take a dip in the clears waters ofLake McKenzie, walk around the sandy shoreline or just relax and enjoy the spectacular view.

Departures / Pickups
The Kingfisher Bay Resort ferry departs several times a day from the Kingfisher Bay Mainland Reception in River Heads (Hervey Bay)
Departs River Heads: 0900hrs, 1230hrs, 1530hrs& 1845hrs
Departs Kingfisher Bay Resort:0750hrs, 1030hrs, 1400hrs& 1700hrs
You are advised to arrive at the Mainland Reception River Heads to check-in 40 minutes prior to the ferry departure time. A courtesy shuttle from Mainland Reception to the jetty will leave 10 minutes prior to departure for our walk-on passengers. Self-drivers will be given further instruction by the Reception team.
GETTING TO FRASER ISLAND
From Brisbane - The journey is approximately 4 - 4 1/2 hours drive north of Brisbane City. Join the Bruce Highway north of Brisbane. Stay on the highway through Gympie then take the Maryborough exit off the Highway onto the Maryborough Hervey Bay Road.
From Maryborough, follow the Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road North toward Hervey Bay (16.8 kms). Turn right on to Booral Road and travel for approximately 12 kms. Then, turn right into River Heads Road and travel a further 9.6kms to arrive at Kingfisher Bay's Mainland Reception located at River Heads Shopping Village (on your right hand side). River Heads Road is locally named Ariadne Street.
From Bundaberg - The journey is approximately 1.5 hours drive south. Follow the Bruce Highway south.Turn off at Torbanlea and follow signs to Hervey Bay (21kms). Turn left onto the Maryborough-Hervey Bay Road. Travel 0.7kms and turn right on to Booral Road. Travel for approximately 12 kms, then turn right into River Heads Road and travel 9.6kms to arrive at Kingfisher Bay's Mainland Reception located at River Heads Shopping Village (on your right hand side). River Heads Road is locally named Ariadne Street.

SECURE PARKING
Secure car park facilities are adjacent to to our River Heads Mainland Reception and are open from 08:00-18:30. Upon check-in at Mainland Reception, guests will be issued with a secure pin number to gain access to the parking facilities.
