Day Trip - Southern Lights Tour
Enjoy at least two hours relaxing on the world famous white silica sand and join our guided walk to the Southern Whitehaven“look out", enjoying breathtaking views of Pentecost Island and the tropical waters of the Whitsundays. Snorkel for over an hour at Border Island, Dumbell Island or one of our“secret” snorkel spots, enjoying the amazing hard and soft corals of the fringing reefs. The main difference between the two tours is that the Southern Lights has more beach time and the Northern Exposure offers more snorkelling time.
What's Included:Relax on world famous Whitehaven Beach Visit both the northern and southern end of Whitehaven Beach. Join our guided walk to the Southern Whitehaven look-out viewing Pentecost Island. Each exhilarating day includes Whitehaven Beach, pristine snorkelling reefs and stunning national park walks. Ocean Rafting is the only tour to have direct access to Hill Inlet beach, a chance to observe the rare Estuarine stingray on silica sands in a swirling turquoise ocean. Our special permits allow us to visit and snorkel in natural, protected areas within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Ocean rafting visits the"wild side" of the Whitsundays, the uninhabited Islands with beautiful, natural scenery brimming with marine, bird and animal life. Small groups allow you to experience tropical paradise away from the crowds. The vessels were originally designed as rescue crafts and are rigid inflatable boats with a perfect"power to weight" ratio making them versatile, maneuverable and fast.
A complement of only 28 guests and 2 crew on each vessel allows personal service, from courtesy bus pick up in the morning, individual snorkel lessons, and guided National Park walking trails. 70% of the boats are under shade providing comfort from our tropical sun.
